StackFolio is in Beta: Track Your Stack's Real Worth
We’ve been stacking for years. Gold Eagles, bags of constitutional silver, a few kilo bars, some jewelry we inherited. Like most stackers, we tracked it all in a spreadsheet. And like most stackers, we eventually gave up keeping it accurate.
The problem isn’t discipline. It’s that spreadsheets weren’t built for this. Spot prices go stale, premiums aren’t tracked, and nobody is doing junk silver face-value-to-ounce math by hand every week.
So we started building something better. StackFolio is now in beta, and we’re inviting stackers to try it.
What StackFolio Does Today
Everything listed here is live and working in the beta right now.
Street value tracking. Most tools multiply spot times weight and call it your portfolio value. That’s melt value, not what a dealer or another stacker would pay. StackFolio tracks Street Value = (Spot + Premium) x Weight for every piece. You bought 10 ASEs at $35 when spot was $28? That $7 premium is part of what those coins are worth. StackFolio accounts for it.
Every type of metal. Standard bullion (coins, bars, rounds) with per-asset premium tracking. Constitutional silver with the 0.715 ozt-per-dollar ratio built in. Jewelry with automatic karat-to-ounce conversion. No napkin math required.
Daily midnight snapshots. Every night, StackFolio records your total portfolio value along with gold and silver spot prices. Over time this builds a timeline you can’t recreate after the fact. Performance charts show your cost basis vs. current value across multiple time ranges.
Gold-Silver Ratio. Live GSR calculated from market data with historical context. StackFolio shows where the ratio sits within the 80-50 rule: above 80 favors silver, below 50 favors gold, and everything in between is neutral. It’s a decision-making tool, not just a number.
Your data, your vault. Our valuation formulas are transparent (verify the math yourself). Sensitive details like storage locations and notes support optional field-level encryption. Everything runs on Cloudflare’s edge infrastructure.

What’s Coming Next
StackFolio is actively being built. Here’s where we’re headed:
- Transaction history. A full buy/sell ledger so every trade is recorded and traceable. Sell a piece, and the transaction stays in your history with the amount received, date, and notes.
- Price alerts. Get notified when gold crosses a threshold or silver swings by a percentage. Set it and forget it until the market moves.
- Data export. CSV and PDF exports for taxes, insurance claims, and your own records. Your data should be portable.
